Art has the potential to alter perceptions, foster dialogue, and inspire social change. As an artist and educator, I am dedicated to the professional cultivation of artists, scholars, and audiences within the university environment and beyond. By engaging in the creative process, each participant develops multiple perspectives and can break free of the assumptions about what art is, and can be. I champion the interaction between theory and practice in the hope of producing citizen artists who become the enthusiastic participants our world needs today.
